Fun Matters.
Chile, both the red and green varieties, is an essential ingredient in New Mexican cuisine. These chiles are native to the region and are harvested at different times of ripeness each fall. The owner of Green Chile Kitchen and I worked together from the inception of this project and worked with local New Mexican artists to create a rustic yet clean brand for the restaurant group. This included designing interiors, advertising, menus, SWAG, a unique font, and events to promote New Mexican food in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Today, Green Chile Kitchen has additional locations in Oklahoma and is renowned for its amazing food and relaxing atmosphere. Both the restaurant and its bakery shop, Chile Pies, have been featured in numerous publications and Food Network shows.
Working with each restaurant manager, we updated menu designs to match seasonal ingredients, keeping the food and layouts fresh with the brand relevant to seasonal needs.
Chile Pies had two locations - one for sweet and savory items and another for ice cream. Each location faced the unique challenge of maintaining consistency with the GCK group while still being similar, yet different from each other. I loved this brand and its overall aesthetic.
It was so much fun!
"Desert Mountain Gift Teas" was established with a vision to create carefully blended teas that not only offer health benefits but also taste delightful. Initially, the recipes were inspired by Southwestern and Western flavors, which led to the launch of the brand's first tea. Over time, the company expanded to include ingredients from all over the world and has added to a product line "Earth and Ocean" and its respective teas. Both brands are in full production and maintain consistent quality of the product and similar brand identity. Although the company sells its products nationwide, we are currently working on improving its digital presence.
Keep an eye out for more updates from Desert Mountain Gift Teas.
